AIDS Run & Walk Chicago is a 5K/10K community event held in Chicago each year by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC). The event raises money for AFC as well as area nonprofit organizations who create teams and fundraise for their own programs. This is a special event where people from all over are coming together to change the story of HIV in our lifetime.
We need YOU, our supporters, to help us meet our Run & Walk goals to raise money for our programs.
PACPI’s 2014 goal is $10,000 AND we need 30 walkers or runners to join our team. Please join us this September or donate to Team PACPI. PACPI serves more than 150 women and newborns each year with services to prevent transmission of HIV from mother to baby. Our programs prevent transmission of HIV for 99% of our clients and even one case of transmission is too many.
In 2013, we exceeded our goal, raising $11,762. It was also a gorgeous September day, check out the 2013 photos. Summer is the perfect time to get out and start walking and running so we think it’s the perfect event to come together and demonstrate our pledge to stop transmission of HIV.
September 14th, 2014 – Arvey Field in Grant Park. Visit www.aidschicago.org for more information on AFC.
