24/7 Illinois Perinatal HIV Hotline: 1-800-439-4079
The Illinois 24/7 Perinatal HIV Hotline was established in 2003 to provide clinical and social service providers with access to immediate medical and social service consultation for the care of pregnant women who are HIV-positive, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Hotline is housed at the new Prentice Women’s Hospital of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Hotline services include:
- Real-time HIV medical consultation for perinatal care providers
- Social service consultation for immediate linkage of newly diagnosed pregnant women to HIV/OB care
The Hotline actively collaborates with Rapid Testing in Illinois hospitals to provide support for and follow-up of positive rapid HIV tests in labor and delivery units, and partners with PACPI for the provision of perinatal HIV enhanced case management services.
