PACPI launched a supportive housing pilot for high-risk HIV-positive pregnant women in 2009. This partnership is designed to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission, facilitate permanent housing stability for high-risk families and provide significant cost savings to the healthcare system.
This partnership also provided:
- Directly Observed Therapy
- Mental health support for mothers and children provided through individual and group sessions
- Educational support for women in the program
- Childcare support for women in the program to attend the mental health sessions or educational opportunities
