24/7 Hotline

800-439-4079

The Illinois 24/7 Perinatal HIV Hotline was established in 2003 to provide clinical and social service providers with access to immediate medical and social service consultation for the care of pregnant HIV-positive women, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Hotline is housed at the new Prentice Women’s Hospital of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Hotline services include:

  • Real-time HIV medical consultation for perinatal care providers

  • Social service consultation for immediate linkage of newly diagnosed pregnant women to HIV/OB care

The Hotline  actively collaborates with the Perinatal Rapid Testing Implementation in Illinois (PRTII2) project to provide support for and follow-up of rapid HIV testing in labor and delivery units, and partners with the Pediatric AIDS Chicago Prevention Initiative (PACPI) for the provision of perinatal HIV enhanced case management  services.
